Hello everyone,

Firstly a very 'Happy New Year' to each and every member of our school community, we hope that your winter break was restful and relaxing and a time that was spent with family and friends.

Autumn term saw Prospect House grow our numbers of both staff and students in our incredible new school building. To watch both staff and students grow and develop will always be a highlight of being an educator, and the progress that everyone has made across the first part of the year is something we can all be hugely proud of!

We also celebrated a number of 'firsts' last term, seeing our first school pantomime, first school disco, first assembly attended by parents and carers and first staff and student Christmas dinner (cooked by our incredible catering team). We were also able to strengthen our community partnerships through a number of visits such as a group of pupils visiting 'The Byrons' care home to sing Christmas songs and hand out handmade Christmas cards and gifts.

As as school, we are also excited to announce that we have been awarded the 'One Education Gold Award for Wellbeing' which is further testament to our commitment to both pupil and staff mental health and wellbeing. We also welcome our newest therapy animals, Sebastian and Dolores, our two Kune Kune therapy pigs and Ovie, our gorgeous new therapy dog.

As we look ahead to the Spring term we look forward to more exciting developments for our school community. Please check back soon for more exciting updates.

Thank you for everyone's continued support

Tracy, Robin, Millie & Patrick
